Easter, Vitamin D, and Grafting Trees!

The day finally arrived when we got to graft 12 trees!

Huge shout out and Thank You! to my dad for all his research, instruction, and patience.

Here is the process we tried:

1. split the root stock

2. 'whittle' the scion to fit in the split

3. tape them together

4. place in hole, with water, roots just covered

5. add something around the new tree to prevent critters from damaging our new trees

Now, fingers-crossed that the trees grow! Overall, a great time had by all and a wonderful way to celebrate Easter.
